Great-tasting chicken and rice at this no-frills restaurant.
The flavors in the dish combined really well, creating a satisfying and comforting meal. Some people might find it a bit on the salty side, but I personally enjoyed the balance of seasoning.
The restaurant itself is very simple—nothing fancy in terms of decor or ambiance—but the focus is clearly on the food.
I can’t speak for the rest of the menu, but their chicken rice was definitely worth trying and left a good impression.
A solid choice if you’re after something tasty and straightforward without the extras.

Can you believe this Hainanese chicken rice is only $10 in this economy? 🤯 No wonder the place is always packed—especially during lunch hours!
The portion is generous, and the chicken was tender. I loved the spicy sauce too. Their other dishes are also reasonably priced.
Save this for later! 🍀

I recently had my first meal here and I tried the pork noodle soup. The portion size is quite generous for the $10 price. It's definitely worth a try! The soup is delicious, with the flat noodles (hor fun) and pork topping; it was very filling for me.
The atmosphere of the place is nice and feels homey. I highly recommend eating here, especially if you want a meal straight away. However, if you're looking to hang out with friends or stay for a while, it might not be the best fit. Overall, the offerings are great and perfect for someone looking for a quick bite! 😍💯✨

My partner and I came here for the $10 meal deal and tried the signature Hainan chicken rice, classic claypot noodle, and Penang white curry mee.
The Hainan chicken rice was surprisingly good — the chicken was incredibly tender. Although the rice wasn’t seasoned, I’d still rate it a solid 4.5/5.
As for the noodle dishes, the portions were quite small and a bit heavy on the MSG for my taste.
Overall, the portion sizes were smaller than expected, but honestly — for $10, it’s still a great deal, so no real complaints!

Best value for money $10 food that you can't find anywhere else in Melbourne. Foods are amazingly good. $10 for hainanese chicken rice, so grateful to find another canteen for meal after school.
